Tensolite acquired CDI (Connecting
Devices Inc) in 2001. CDI stood out in the
RF/microwave industry as one of the leading
suppliers of high performance coaxial connectors.
CDI's engineering prowess and quality reputation
is unmatched in the industry. Recently CDI
has developed a full line of high frequency
sub-miniature push on connectors. The SMP
and SSMP connector series has allowed CDI
- and now Tensolite - to participate in high
end applications in both the defense electronics
and optical telecommunications industries.
Addtionally, CDI's expertise in 1.85mm, 2.92mm,
SMA, SSMA, SSMP, TNC, N, BMA, and coaxial
cable assemblies is demonstrated in commercial,
military, and space-qualified telecommunications
applications worldwide.
Prior to their acquisition of CDI, Tensolite
acquired QMI in 1998. QMI has a long history
in the development and manufacture of RF and
microwave connectors and cable assemblies.
QMI's specialty was high performance test
cables for demanding environments. QMI gave
Tensolite the ability to marry RF/microwave
coaxial cable with high frequency connectors
to produce an integrated assembly. From off-the-shelf
items to fast custom interconnect solutions,
Tensolite is able to provide a complete range
of RF components for virtually all RF applications.
Tensolite also offers a full line of high
performance test cables including, Semi-Flex™,
Flexible Commercial, Workhorse™, Armored
Workhorse™, as well as supporting custom
cable assembly requirements to print.
